News on the EconCore honeycomb sandwich technology

ThermHex Waben GmbH in Halle (Saale), Germany, a fully-owned subsidiary of EconCore, has been established on 20th May 2009.

EconCore was presenting during the JEC Show Paris on March 24 to 26, 2009 a thermoplastic honeycomb with a cell size of only 5 mm. Until today such small cell sizes are only known for high performance aerospace applications.

Gifu Plastics presented on the New Materials exhibition in Tokyo the first further processed panels for logistics and packaging markets in Japan under the name TECCELL.

The recent capital increase enables EconCore to supply honeycomb core from different thermoplastic materials to partner companies, like Elytra, targeting a batch-wise production of customized sandwich components

EconCore was participating in the first JEC Asia Composite Exhibition in Singapore in October 2008. The JEC Asia Show, with more than 300 exhibitors and 8325 visitors

EconCore increased its capital by 1 Million Euro to build up additional capabilities to produce cost efficient honeycomb cores.
